The Corona pandemic has raised the very basic, yet essential question for us.
“What is Church? And what is its function in the world?” “What is worship?”
“How will church nurture and teach the next generation that will face the ‘new norm’?
As we embark on this big change,
the post-corona world will demand the church to change as well.
All of the leadership and teachers in Joanne couldn’t agree more that his is THE time to come together in one spirit to pray, asking God for his guidance and wisdom we need to navigate through this new world.
We have decided to devote ourselves in the ‘fast & pray” relay for the month of May.
We believe God will reveal his great works to come, and, according to his words, we will prepare ourselves, equipped with the appropriate mindset and spirituality.

코로나를 겪으며, 우리에게 가장 기본적이지만 너무나도 중요한 질문이 다시 던져졌습니다.
“교회는 무엇인가? 세상 속에서 교회의 역할은 무엇인가?” “예배란 무엇인가?”
“New Norm 을 맞이할 다음 세대의 영성을 교회는 어떻게 키워낼 것인가?”
교회의 본질과, 앞으로 다가올 post-corona 시대에 크리스천으로써 살아갈 다음세대를 위한 생각들과 고민들을 하나님 앞으로 가지고 나아갑니다.
그 어느 때 보다 하나님의 인도하심과 지혜와 계시의 영이 절실히 필요하기에
조앤 공동체의 리더십과 교사들은 마음을 모아 함께 릴레이 금식 기도를 드리기로 결정했습니다. 5월 한달 동안 하나님의 마음을 알아가며, 앞으로 새롭게 펼치실 하나님의 일들을 우리에게 드러내실 때에, 그에 맞추어 믿음으로 반응하여 움직이는 주님의 종들로 섬길 것을 결단하며 기도를 시작합니다.

Can you believe it's already the last week of April?
I hope all of us got to reflect on the true meaning of 'worship' and 'church' during this time of pause and have made up hearts to woship in spirit and truth, wherever we may be.

Small group is also part of our worship, so participation is not an option, but your service to God.
Please join your small group through Zoom and share the grace God has given you with your brothers and sisters in Christ!

The Name of Jesus Christ has the power to RESTORE all things.
God is ready to restore us back into the original image he had created us,
filled with his goodness!
We pray that we may live as examples of his restoring power at work.

We want to celebrate Easter by giving back the love we've received from God.
We will send activity kits to our immigrant and refugee friends in Korea,
so they may find joy in spending time during these times of social distancing.
